Tokyo Trip 2016 – Day 5: Odaiba

Today’s destination was the large artificial island in Tokyo Bay, Odaibaヽ(o^―^o)ノ. And we have to say that this is probably one of our favorite places in Tokyo, or maybe even our favorite.

Odaiba exit
We got off at the Odaiba-Kaihin-Koen station, and just went out the first exit we saw. We didn’t have any special plans for today, other than seeing the big life-size Gundam statue. (o^ ^o). So we decided to just walk around the island and visit the shopping malls that they have here.

The first place we ended up at, was the Odaiba seaside park. The park had a really nice sand beach, where a lot of people were sunbathing and playing beach volleyball. You can also get a nice view of the Rainbow bridge that connects the island to the rest of Tokyo.

After walking around the park for a little while, we decided to walk further to Diver City, which is a large 7 storey shopping mall. You can find arcades, a lot of restaurants, shops and even a skate park on the roof + the Gundam statue stands just outside of the mall.

After a visit at Diver City we decided to walk back to Aqua City to eat dinner. We ended up at a buffet place called, The Oven.

We have to say that the food here was pretty good, especially the dessert (≧◡≦) ♡. + The view from the restaurant was really nice.

After eating, we just decided to walk around for a while before heading back home. Since it was really beautiful here at night! ♡

  1. Ooooh this takes me back! We spent a day at Odaiba too. We didn’t stay late through. I love that night time shot of the Gundam statue! I only saw it in the day time. I loved the food court in Diver City. 🙂

    1. Too bad you didn’t stay late Stashy, Odaiba was very beautiful at night, we spent the entire day there. It’s a place that we would love to visit again someday (´。• ᵕ •。`)
