I hope you’ve had a good week so far. Today’s post is a purchase of the week post, which is something I have not written in a while. As my recent posts have mostly been about my daily life.
However, as the Christmas season is coming up, I decided to go out and buy what I normally buy around this time of the year- Which is board games ヽ(o^ ^o)ﾉ. It has been a mini tradition of mine, to buy new board games for the Christmas season. And this year was no exception as well.
Lucky for me, the local book store had a 50% sale on all board games. Talk about perfect timing. There were so many board games to choose between in the store. And I can be such an indecisive person at times. So it took me forever to pick something from the store. In the end I managed to pick three games to add to my collection.
Board games are something I associate with Christmas. As my family and I would gather together to play it, usually after our Christmas dinner.
The Ryktet går/Rumours go game, was one of the board games that I bought. My friend recommended me to buy this one, as she has played it before and she loved it.
This game is like the whispering game but only on paper! Where you have to draw a task, write down the word on your block and draw it on the next sheet. The you send the block to the next player. Who has to guess/interpret what you drew? The next player then writes what he/she believes in the next sheet and passes the block, so that the next one draws his/her word.
Codenames, was the second game that I bought. Which is a type guessing game, where you are divided into two ‘spy’ teams. The goal is to try to guess the identity of your secret agents the fastest.
The last game I bought was the Balloon game, which has been around for a few years. Though I have not seen it in the stores in Norway until now.
“Have you played any of these games before?” and “What is your favorite board game?“
Stay tuned for our next blog post!
