Today’s post is about our visit to Insadong＼(＾▽＾)／. Insadong is one of the arts district of Seoul, where you can find many art galleries, souviner shops and tea shops.
(To get to Insadong, take the subway to Anguk Station (Line 3) Exit No 6)
It was a pretty nice place to walk around and experience some of the local culture. There were some people dressed in traditional clothing; showing passerbys how to make traditional Korean food.
Insadong is an area with many souvenir shops. However, many of the shops were selling the same or pretty similar items. So you can easily skip some of the shops. There are also Korean restaurants and clothing stores here as well.
If you’re interested, you can try out Korean tradtional costume, known as Hanbok, here in Insadong.
Some photos of our day:
This building was pretty nice, it was packed with shops selling souviners and local crafts.
Sulbing – Korean Dessert Café
We read that there is a Sulbing café in Insadong. So we went in search of it, but it was quite difficult to find at first. But lucky for us, we spotted a tourist Center nearby, so we got the directions to Sulbing, which was pretty close to the tourist center. We wanted to order the strawberry patbingsu, but it was already sold out. So we got the one with condensed milk and almonds instead. It was pretty okay but we didn’t manage to finish it all though.
This wraps up another day in Seoul ✿.
” Have you ever been to Insadong before?”
Stay tuned for our next Korea Trip Post!
